Human readable e-mail addresses

February 21st, 2007

I put up a little page that presents half a dozen brand new e-mail addresses. This page is dedicated to several ways of obfuscating e-mail addresses from spam harvesting robots. I hope to find out which ways work and which don’t. You can check out the tactics I used, most are pretty common, but I tried some CSS hacks that I think are pretty interesting. I’ll post an update maybe monthly or whenever spam starts coming into the control address, with the results as they progress.

There also should be a new ugly banner at the top for people who try and view my site in IE6 (or early browsers), since I have no intention of making my site work with old browsers. It may not be there, I don’t have an old browser so I can’t verify it.

Lightweight Apps?

Your browser does not support advanced CSS, you are probably using IE6. This site will render poorly if you do not upgrade your browser
