Snow Pictures
A week ago we had a huge storm (by Albuquerque standards) with about 4 and half inches of snow. As it was melting it made these icicles from the roof.
.
The best part was when the water melted, dripped down and froze again creating ’stalagmite’ like ice.
This week we had record breaking snow. I’m not sure if it is the most snow we have ever had, but it was certainly the most Albuquerque has ever gotten in 24 hours (11.3″). Its now over a foot in most places (two feet in the foothills) and is expected to snow the rest of the day.

The snow wasn’t as soft as I expect when I jumped in it, but it was nice to lay in.
The cold car collected the most snow, the first inch or two melted right away in most places since we have been hovering at the 32 degree mark during the day.
If you didn’t have high clearance and 4 wheel drive you weren’t going anywhere.
In some places the snow couldn’t support its own weight.
Shaking the tree covered me in much more snow than I had expected.
It was just over 13″ this morning (12/30) and it hasn’t let up much.
